REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9114       April 14, 2001

AN ACT CONVERTING THE BARANGAY HIGH SCHOOL AT BARANGAY BINUCAYAN, LORETO, AGUSAN DEL SUR INTO A NATIONAL GOVERNMENT-FUNDED SECONDARY SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE BINUCAYAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The barangay high school at Barangay Binucayan, Municipality of Loreto, Province of Agusan del Sur is hereby converted into a regular secondary school under the control and supervision of the national government through the Department of Education, Culture and Sports.

Section 2. This school shall be known officially as the Binucayan National High School.

Section 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on August 28, 2000 and February 5, 2001, respectively.
