REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9109       April 14, 2001

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JUAN, PROVINCE OF SOUTHERN LEYTE TO BE KNOWN AS THE SAN JUAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. There shall be established, under the supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, a national high school in the Municipality of San Juan, Province of Southern Leyte to be known as the San Juan National High School.

Section 2. The Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports is hereby directed to take such steps as may be necessary for the immediate implementation of this Act and shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.

Section 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on May 16, 2000 and February 5, 2001, respectively.
