REPUBLIC ACT No. 3783

AN ACT REORGANIZING THE PROSECUTION DIVISION AND THE DEPORTATION BOARD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF CERTAIN PERSONNEL THEREIN.

Section 1. The Prosecution Division of the Department of Justice shall be composed of the following personnel with annual compensation hereinafter fixed:

Chief prosecuting attorneyP12,000.00
Two trial attorneys IV, each at11,400.00
Eight trial attorneys III, each at10,800.00
Two trial attorneys III, each at10,800.00
Five trial attorneys III, each at9,600.00
One trial attorney III9,000.00
Seven trial attorneys II, each at8,400.00
Six trial attorneys II, each at7,200.00
One research attorney I5,400.00
One supervising clerk I2,952.00
Three stenographic reporters, each at2,676.00
Six stenographic reporters, each at2,676.00
One research attorney I4,800.00
One stenographer2,676.00
One statistical aide I2,196.00
One clerk I1,980.00
One janitor1,680.00

Section 2. The Deportation Board of the Department of Justice shall be composed of the following personnel with annual compensation hereinafter fixed:

One Chairman (by detail).
Two members (by detail).
One trial attorney IVP11,400.00
One trial attorney II7,200.00
Two trial attorneys II, each at7,200.00
One legal officer I5,400.00
One senior clerk2,952.00
One sheriff2,400.00
One janitor1,680.00

Section 3. The officials and attorneys mentioned in Sections one and two of this Act shall receive the salary provided for herein, notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary.

Section 4. There is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, such sums as any be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.

Section 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
