DECLARING THURSDAY, 16 MARCH 2023, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF NEGROS ORIENTAL

WHEREAS, Governor Roel Ragay Degamo passed away on 04 March 2023;

WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor has requested that 16 March 2023 be declared as a special non-working holiday in the Province of Negros Oriental to allow the community to grieve and honor the memory of Governor Degamo and the other victims;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Negros Oriental the opportunity to show their respect and join the interment of Governor Degamo.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, LUCAS P. BERSAMIN, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR.,   do hereby declare Thursday, 16 March 2023, a special (non-working) day in the Province of Negros Oriental.
