DECLARING JUNE 24, 1994 AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE CITY OF MANILA

WHEREAS, every year the City of Manila celebrates June 24 in commemoration of the founding of the City as the premier Christian City of Asia;

WHEREAS, the residents of Manila, conscious of the historical and cultural significance of the event, desire to celebrate the same with appropriate ceremonies; and

WHEREAS, Section 27, Chapter 7, Book I of the Administrative Code of 1987 authorizes the President to proclaim a local special day for a particular date, group or place;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare June 24, 1994 as a Special Day in the City of Manila.1aшphi1
