DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 3 TO 9, 1989, AS “(ENT) EAR, NOSE, THROAT CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Philippine Society of Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery, Inc., will launch a campaign wherein the public is made aware of the significance of early detection, prevention and treatment of ear, nose, throat, head and neck diseases;

WHEREAS, this will include ENT-Head and Neck operations to be performed in the different hospitals throughout the country and will be free of charge to indigent patients; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the importance of this venture particularly to the indigent patients of our country;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from December 3 to 9, 1989, as “(ENT) EAR, NOSE, THROAT, CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK” under the auspices of the Philippine Society of Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery, Inc.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
