[ Proclamation No. 488, November 13, 1989 ]

DECLARING SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 1989, AS PROVINCE OF SAMAR DAY.

WHEREAS, Saturday, November 11, 1989, marks the 22nd charter anniversary of the Province of Samar; and

WHEREAS, the people of Samar should be afforded the opportunity to celebrate this historic event with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday, November 11, 1989, as Province of Samar Day. This day, however, shall be a regular working and school day.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
