DECLARING THE PERIOD NOVEMBER 21 TO 26, 1989 AS “PAN PACIFIC SOUTHEAST ASIA (PHIL.) WOMEN’S WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Pan Pacific Southeast Asia Women’s Association (PPSEAWA) has been championing the cause of women since its founding in 1928;

WHEREAS, the Pan Pacific Southeast Asia Women’s Association-Philippines has been an active member of the International Association of Women since 1954;

WHEREAS, the Philippines needs women organizations like the PPSEAWA-Philippines to help harness the potential of Filipino women as nation builders; and

WHEREAS, the Government fully supports the ideals of PPSEAWA and the cause of the Filipino women;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 21 to 26, 1989, as “Pan Pacific Southeast Asia Women’s (Phils.) Week”.1aшphi1
