DECLARING TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 1989, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN BADOC, ILOCOS NORTE

WHEREAS, the 132nd birth anniversary of the late Juan Luna y Novicio, patriot and first Filipino internationally renowned painter, falls on October 24, 1989;

WHEREAS, his works of art served to introduce Filipino culture to other people of the world; and

WHEREAS, the people of Badoc, Ilocos Norte, his birthplace, should be afforded full opportunity to commemorate his natal day with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, October 24, 1989, as a special day in Badoc, Ilocos Norte.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
