DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM APRIL 24 TO 30, 1989 AND THE LAST WEEK OF APRIL OF EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS “AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Philippine Society of Agricultural Engineers (PSAE) was established for the purpose of accomplishing advancement in the practice of engineering in agriculture;

WHEREAS, the 39th Annual Convention of the Philippine Society of Agricultural Engineers will be held in Davao City on April 27 to 29, 1989 on the theme “Agricultural Development”; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to emphasize the role of the agricultural engineering profession in the agricultural and economic development of the country;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from April 24 to 30, 1989 and every last week of April thereafter as “Agricultural Engineering Week” under the auspices of the Philippine Society of Agricultural Engineers.1aшphi1
