[ Proclamation No. 382, March 7, 1989 ]

DECLARING TUESDAY, MARCH 28, 1989, AS SPECIAL DAY THROUGHOUT THE PHILIPPINES

WHEREAS, Section 1 of Republic Act No. 6679, amending Republic Act No. 6653, provides that the elections of barangay officials will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 1989; and

WHEREAS, Tuesday, March 28, 1989, should be declared a special day to give the people fullest opportunity to participate in the said elections;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, March 28, 1989, as special day throughout the Philippines.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
