DECLARING THE PROVINCE OF PALAWAN AS A PILOT AREA FOR TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

WHEREAS, tourism plays a vital role in the socio-economic growth and development of the country;

WHEREAS, Palawan is one of the provinces of the Philippines which has tremendous tourism potentials that can be developed;

WHEREAS, Palawan, one of the largest islands of the Philippines, has natural features that give it an advantage over other areas in the country in terms of tourism development;

WHEREAS, the development of Palawan would bring economic benefit not only for the province but for the whole country as well;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the Province of Palawan as a pilot area for tourism development.1aшphi1
