DECLARING THE MONTH OF MARCH OF EVERY YEAR AS THE NATIONAL MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT MONTH

WHEREAS, the Philippine government is committed to enhance the prestige, welfare, and well-being of the Filipino skilled workers in recognition of their significant role in the country’s socio-economic development;

WHEREAS, social and economic development depends to a large extent upon the optimum utilization of the country’s manpower resources;

WHEREAS, manpower development is a key factor to national prosperity;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention, especially among the youth, on the importance of being a skilled worker;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the month of March of every year as the National Manpower Development Month under the auspices of the National Manpower and Youth Council.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
