EXCLUDING FROM THE OPERATION OF PROCLAMATION NO. 573, DATED JUNE 26, 1969, WHICH ESTABLISHED THE MAGAT RIVER FOREST RESERVE, A PARCEL OF LAND EMBRACED THEREIN LOCATED IN ARITAO, NUEVA VIZCAYA, AND DECLARING THE SAME AS A CIVIL RESERVATION FOR CAMP SITE PURPOSES OF THE BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES, ARITAO CHAPTER, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 705, AS AMENDED.
Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, and pursuant to Section 18 of Presidential Decree No. 705, otherwise known as the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines, as amended, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby exclude from the operation of Proclamation No. 573, dated June 26, 1969, which established the Magat River Forest Reserve, a parcel of land embraced therein, and declare the same as a civil reservation for camp site purposes of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, Aritao Chapter, located in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya, as shown in Map CR-379, which is more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point designated as corner “1”, which is N 77 degrees W, 1,150 meters from junction of Banganan Creek and National Road;
thence, N 32 degrees W., 390 meters to corner 2;
thence, N 32 degrees W., 260 meters to corner 3;
thence, N 61 degrees E., 170 meters to corner 4;
thence, N 61 degrees E., 240 meters to corner 5;
thence, S 30 degrees E., 100 meters to corner 6;
thence, S 30 degrees E., 400 meters to corner 7;
thence, S 04 degrees E., 80 meters to corner 8;
thence, S 40 degrees E., 170 meters to corner 9;
thence, S 16 degrees E., 100 meters to corner 10;
thence, S 60 degrees W., 280 meters to corner 11;
thence, N 53 degrees W., 200 meters to point of
beginning, containing an area of 10 hectares, more or less, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to the following conditions:
1. The administration and management of the area covered by the reservation shall be jointly under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the Department of Local Government. For this purpose, a five-year development plan shall be submitted to the Office of the President by the Municipal Council of Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya within one year from the approval hereof, furnishing the Department of Local Government, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, National Mapping and Resources Information Authority, and the Forest Management Bureau, copies thereof.
2. The extraction and utilization of timber and other forest products remaining in the area shall be subject to Forest and Internal Revenue Laws and Regulations.1aшphi1
3. In the event that the area is no longer needed for the purpose stated, or its development has already been abandoned for a period of two (2) years, this proclamation is automatically withdrawn, revoked or cancelled and the subject area regains its original status as part and parcel of the forest lands.
