DECLARING THURSDAY, MARCH 23, 1989, AS DR. CAMILO OSIAS DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF LA UNION.

WHEREAS, Thursday, March 23, 1989 marks the 100th birthday anniversary of Dr. Camilo Osias, first Filipino Division Superintendent of Schools, author, statesman and patriot whose ideals and principles in life were dedicated to the service of country and people; and

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper to afford the people of La Union, his birthplace, an ample opportunity to celebrate the event with an appropriate ceremony;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, March 23, 1989 as “Dr. Camilo Osias Day” in the Province of La Union.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
