[ Proclamation No. 357, January 16, 1989 ]

DECLARING MONDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 1989, AS “GENERAL SANTOS CITY DAY”.

WHEREAS, Monday, February 27, 1989, marks the 50th Foundation Anniversary of General Santos City; and

WHEREAS, the people of General Santos City should be afforded the opportunity to commemorate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, February 27, 1989, as General Santos City Day.1aшphi1 The day however, shall be a regular working and school day.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 16th day of January, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-nine.
