DECLARING FRIDAY, JUNE 19, 1987, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CALAMBA, LAGUNA.

WHEREAS, June 19, 1987, marks the one hundred twenty-sixth (126th) birthday of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, our national hero; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the residents of Calamba, Laguna, his birthplace, should at least be given full opportunity to celebrate the day with appropriate ceremonies in keeping with his ideals and teachings;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, June 19, 1987, as a special public holiday in the Municipality of Calamba, Laguna.
