DECLARING 1980, FROM JANUARY TO DECEMBER, AS THE QUADRICENTENNIAL YEAR OF THE FOUNDATION AND CHRISTIANIZATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF MALOLOS, BULACAN AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE MALOLOS 400th ANNIVERSARY TO UNDERTAKE A NATIONWIDE FUND DRIVE DURING THE YEAR 1980

WHEREAS, the year 1980 marks the 400th anniversary of the foundation and christianization of Malolos, Bulacan;

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Malolos was the birthplace of the first Philippine Republic and was the seat of many important events in our struggle for freedom and democracy; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to focus national attention of this milestone in the history of said municipality;

NOW THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declared 1980 as the Quadricentennial Year of the foundation and christianization of Malolos, Bulacan.

I hereby authorize the Executive Committee of the 400th anniversary celebration of Malolos to conduct a nationwide fund campaign during the year 1980 to ensure the success of the celebration.
