[ Proclamation No. 1917, October 23, 1979 ]

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 1979, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN BADOC, ILOCOS NORTE.

WHEREAS, on Wednesday, October 24, 1979, the residents of Badoc, Ilocos Norte will celebrate the birth anniversary of Juan Luna, the foremost Filipino painter; and

WHEREAS, the residents of Badoc desire to observe with fitting ceremonies the birthday of the town’s most famous son;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Wednesday, October 24, 1979, as a special public holiday in Badoc, Ilocos Norte. The day however, shall be a regular working and school day.
