DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 14 TO 20, 1979, AS “MANAGEMENT CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK”

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the government to promote management consciousness in both public and private sectors to help achieve the development goals of the nation;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Council of Management is sponsoring the 10th Philippine Management Congress from October 17–19, 1979 which will be attended by management experts, practitioners and educators from the Philippines and other ASEAN countries;

WHEREAS, Management consciousness is essential to promote better business practices, increase production, and improve public administration to economic development, social progress and stability;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from October 14 to 20, 1979, as “Management Consciousness Week.”
