DECLARING 1979 AS TENPIN BOWLING YEAR AND AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE BOWLING CONGRESS (PBC) TO CONDUCT A FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1979

WHEREAS, the Republic of the Philippines has been chosen as the site of the 9th World FIQ Tenpin Bowling Championships scheduled in November 24 to December 9, 1979 under the auspices of the Philippine Bowling Congress (PBC) and the Federacion Internationale des Quilleurs;

WHEREAS, this prestigious international tenpin bowling tournament will be participated in by the 54 member-countries of the Federacion Internationale des Quilleurs (FIQ) coming from the European, American and Asian Zone including the Philippines;

WHEREAS, this event will not only contribute to the country’s efforts to promote our tourist trade, and prestige and honor to the Philippines, but also earn goodwill and gratitude of the millions of tenpin bowling fans throughout the world; and

WHEREAS, financial and logistical supports are required to insure the success of this vital undertaking;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare 1979 as the TENPIN BOWLING YEAR, and authorize the Philippine Bowling Congress (PBC) to conduct a nationwide fund campaign and thus insure the successful hosting of the 9th World FIQ Tenpin Bowling Championships.1aшphi1

All donations or contributions to and income of the fund campaign shall be exempt from income, gift, amusement and all other taxes; and the same shall further be deductible in full and shall not be included for purposes of computing the maximum amount deductible under Section 30, paragraph (h), of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
