[ Proclamation No. 1892, August 30, 1979 ]

DECLARING SEPTEMBER 1 OF EVERY YEAR AS “ARAW NG LAANG-KAWAL PILIPINO” (RESERVIST DAY), STARTING WITH SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 1979.

WHEREAS, in order to strengthen and unify the reserve components of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, an Army Reserve Command was organized;

WHEREAS, there is a need to underscore the importance of military reservists throughout the country and to motivate and exhort them to rededicate themselves to the task of nation building;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare September 1 of every year as “Araw ng Laang-Kawal Pilipino” (Reservist Day), starting with Saturday, September 1, 1979.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS, WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
