[ Proclamation No. 1888, August 28, 1979 ]

DECLARING THURSDAY, AUGUST 30, 1979, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BULACAN.

WHEREAS, the 129th birth anniversary of Marcelo H. del Pilar, one of the outstanding Filipino heroes in the country’s struggle for democracy and freedom, falls on Thursday, August 30, 1979; and

WHEREAS, the people of Bulacan, the province of his birth, desires to celebrate his natal day with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I. FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, August 30, 1979, as a special public holiday, in the province of Bulacan, but it shall be a regular working and school day.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS, WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
