[ Proclamation No. 1887, August 28, 1979 ]

DECLARING SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 1979, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF BAGUIO.

WHEREAS, the foundation day of the City of Baguio falls on Saturday, September 1, 1979; and

WHEREAS, the people thereof desire to celebrate, with fitting ceremonies, this milestone in the history of their city;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday, September 1, 1979, as a special public holiday in the City of Baguio, but it shall be a regular working and school day.
