[ Proclamation No. 1884, August 16, 1979 ]

AUTHORIZING THE MORAL RE-ARMAMENT FOUNDATION OF THE PHILIPPINES TO CONDUCT AN EDUCATIONAL, MEMBERSHIP AND FUND CAMPAIGN FROM MAY 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1979.

WHEREAS, the promotion of the moral values of our people and the development of our youth into well-disciplined and useful citizens are the vital concern of our Government;

WHEREAS, projects for the achievement of this end and the provision of proper facilities for conducting such projects should be encouraged; and

WHEREAS, the Moral Re-Armament Foundation of the Philippines is carrying out a program for the moral rehabilitation of our people, especially our youth, giving special emphasis to the four moral standards of absolute honesty, purity, unselfishness, and love, to build a new society;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Moral Re-Armament Foundation of the Philippines to conduct an educational and fund campaign from May 1 to December 31, 1979. I enjoin all residents, business firms, civic, educational, religious and government institutions to support this humanitarian movement.1aшphi1

Donations in connection with this campaign are deductible in full for income tax purposes, as per Presidential Decree No. 507.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
