[ Proclamation No. 1879, August 9, 1979 ]

DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 10, 1979, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF SAN JOSE.

WHEREAS, the 10th anniversary of the charter of the City of San Jose falls on Friday, August 10, 1979; and

WHEREAS, the residents of the city desire to celebrate, with fitting ceremonies, this milestone in the history of their city;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, August 10, 1979, as a special public holiday in the City of San Jose, but it shall be a regular working and school day.
