DESIGNATING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1, 1979 TO JUNE 30, 1980 FOR THE ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL MEMBERSHIP AND FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE COMMUNITY CHEST FOUNDATION OF METROPOLITAN MANILA AND RIZAL, INC.
WHEREAS, the Community Chest Foundation of Metropolitan Manila and Rizal, Inc. (CCFMMRI), through the 31 welfare service agencies undertakes essential community welfare services that are vital to family and community life.
WHEREAS, the objectives of the CCFMMRI seek to make this Foundation more relevant to the expanding social development needs of the communities within the area of its operation;
WHEREAS, the Community Chest Foundation consolidates into ONE the fund-raising efforts of 31 organizations to reduce multiple campaigns and help more meaningful in providing necessary funds to meet the requirements of local welfare activities in Metro Manila and the towns of Rizal;
WHEREAS, the CCFMMRI brings together the leadership from the private sector and the local governments thus establishing closer rapport and cooperation in undertakings for social welfare;
WHEREAS, in order that humanitarian and community welfare services thru the agencies of the Community Chest Foundation of Metropolitan Manila and Rizal, Inc. may be fully and sufficiently provided to our people, the moral and financial support of the populace is necessary;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby designate the period from July 1, 1979 to June 30, 1980 for the annual educational, membership and fund campaign of the Community Chest Foundation of Metropolitan Manila and Rizal, Inc.
In view hereof, I hereby call upon all residents, whatever race or creed, business, commercial and industrial firms, professional and civic groups, school personnel and employees of private firms and of government offices and agencies within the Metropolitan Manila area and the entire province of Rizal, to fully support the educational and fund campaign of the Community Chest Foundation of Metropolitan Manila and Rizal, Inc. by extending leadership and by giving generously of their means to this 31-in-ONE campaign, for the promotion of the economic well-being of our less fortunate countrymen in the above-cited area of solicitation.1aшphi1
