[ Proclamation No. 1873, July 6, 1979 ]

CONVENING THE SANGGUNIANG PAMPOOK IN EACH OF REGIONS NINE AND TWELVE

WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 1871, the Sangguniang Pampook in each Regions IX and XII were scheduled to convene starting of July 7, 1979;

WHEREAS, certain preparatory activities and other circumstances necessitate the postponement of the date when the said Sangguniang Pampook will commence to convene;

WHEREAS, for this purpose Batas Pambansa Blg. 20 has been amended by Presidential Decree No. 1627 empowering the President to convene the Sangguniang Pampook on such a date as he may deem proper and expedient;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and existing law, do hereby convene the Sangguniang Pampook in each of Regions IX and XII, to meet for such number of days as may be necessary commencing on the 27th day of July 1979, to consider such proposed legislation as may be brought before them.

All persons entitled to sit as members of the Sangguniang Pampook are requested to take notice of this Proclamation.

Proclamation No. 1871 dated June 29, 1979, is hereby amended accordingly.1aшphi1
