[ Proclamation No. 1863, June 7, 1979 ]

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 1850 DATED APRIL 26, 1979, BY INCLUDING ROMBLON IN THE CALAMITY ARE.

WHEREAS, a state of calamity was declared in existence in the province of Leyte under Proclamation No. 1850 dated April 26, 1979, as a result of the destruction brought about by typhoon “Bebeng”; and

WHEREAS, recent report reveal that similar destruction of life and property was caused by said typhoon in the Province of Romblon;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the existence of a state of calamity in the Province of Romblon.

Proclamation No. 1850 is hereby amended accordingly.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
