DECLARING FRIDAY, JUNE 1, 1979, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN MAKATI, METROPOLITAN MANILA.

WHEREAS, Makati, Metropolitan Manila celebrates “Araw ng Makati” on June 1, 1979, marking its 408th foundation anniversary; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the residents of Makati, Metropolitan Manila be given full opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their town’s history;

NOW, THEREFORE I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, June 1, 1979, as a special public holiday in Makati, Metropolitan Manila.
