[ Proclamation No. 1858, May 30, 1979 ]

DECLARING FRIDAY, JUNE 15, 1979, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS AND THE CITIES THEREIN.

WHEREAS, the ninety-fourth birthday of the late Modesto Castillo, first Post-Liberation Provincial Governor of Batangas, falls on June 15, 1979; and

WHEREAS, the people of his province should be given the opportunity to celebrate his birth anniversary with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, June 15, 1979, as a special holiday in the province of Batangas and the cities therein.

IN WITNESS, WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
