[ Proclamation No. 1842, April 11, 1979 ]

DECLARING SATURDAY, APRIL 14, 1979, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY.

WHEREAS, employees in the government service will enjoy a four-day Lenten holidays from April 12 to 15, 1979;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to give the same privilege to employees of private establishments;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Holy Saturday, April 14, 1979, as a special public holiday.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
