[ Proclamation No. 1841, April 5, 1979 ]

DECLARING THE FIRST WEEK OF MAY, 1979, AS CROP PROTECTION WEEK.

WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 1544 dated May 1, 1976, the first week of May, 1976 was proclaimed as “Crop Protection Week” for the reasons and objectives stated therein; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable that continuing national attention and concern be focused on the need for wider utilization of the current advances in crop protection science and technology for the benefit of the national economy;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the first week of May, 1979, as “Crop Protection Week” and enjoin all public and private offices and institutions to encourage and grant official sanction to their personnel concerned to attend and participate in national crop protection and pest control conferences in the interest of advancing our science and technology on crop protection.1aшphi1
