DECLARING THURSDAY, MARCH 22, 1979, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN BALIUAG, BULACAN

WHEREAS, the 116th birth anniversary of the late Mariano Ponce, a noted bibliographer, propagandist, journalist, historian, diplomat, physician, outstanding reformist born in Baliuag, Bulacan, falls on March 22, 1979;

WHEREAS, the people of the town desire to celebrate with fitting ceremonies his natal day;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare March 22, 1979, as a special public holiday in Baliuag, Bulacan.
