[ Proclamation No. 1830, March 19, 1979 ]

SETTING APRIL 3, 1979, AS THE DATE FOR THE HOLDING OF THE PLEBISCITE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TARANGNAN, SAMAR, PURSUANT TO BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 16.

WHEREAS, Batas Pambansa Blg. 16, approved on February 9, 1979, provides that a plebiscite shall be held in the Municipality of Tarangnan, Bangon, Buenos Aires, Calanyugan, Cambaye, Caloloma, Pange, San Luis, and Villahermosa, all of said municipality, shall become a new municipality, to be known as the Municipality of Pagsanghan, which shall be conducted within a period of sixty days after the approval of said Act;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law and pursuant to Batas Pambansa Blg. 16, do hereby set April 3, 1979, as the date for the holding of the plebiscite in the Municipality of Tarangnan, Province of Samar, to decide whether Barangays Pagsanghan, Bangon, Buenos Aires, Calanyugan, Cambaye, Caloloma, Pange, San Luis, and Villahermosa shall be constituted into a new municipality to be known as Pagsanghan.1aшphi1

The Commission on Elections shall promulgate the rules and regulations necessary to implement this proclamation.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
