DECLARING MARCH 18-24, 1979 AS THE “RECYCLING TECHNOLOGY WEEK.”

WHEREAS, in order to promote the social, economic and political stability of a country there is a need to stimulate the maximum recovery of waste and economical use of redundant plant and materials and by-products;

WHEREAS, in order to utilize to the fullest its country’s potentiality there is a need to make research for the uses of waste and surplus materials arising from production processes;

WHEREAS, the goal of the above-named program is to provide an Asian Organization for all industries through which to encourage, assist and promote the practice of conservation and Reclamation for the benefit of members and the National economy.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the decade March 18-24, 1979, as the “Recycling Technology Week” on the theme: “Recycling Technology Week.”

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
