DECLARING THE PERIOD OF MARCH 15 TO 17, 1979, AS THE “PRINTING INDUSTRY WEEK.”

WHEREAS, the printing industry renders indispensable service to the country in the promotion of arts and culture, and in the government’s movement against illiteracy;

WHEREAS, the printing industry, as one of the most effective tools of communication, has contributed to the far-reaching goals of the New Society; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to focus the attention of the public on the important role played by the printing industry in our national development;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from March 15 to 17, 1979, as “Printing Industry Week” under the auspices of the Printing Industries Association of the Philippines, Inc.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
