[ Proclamation No. 1815, January 29, 1979 ]

SETTING FEBRUARY 4, 1979, AS THE DATE FOR THE HOLDING OF THE PLEBISCITE IN CERTAIN BARANGAYS IN GANDARA, SAMAR, PURSUANT TO BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 11

WHEREAS, Batas Pambansa Blg. 11 approved on December 6, 1978, provides that a plebiscite shall be held in specific barangays of the municipality of Gandara, province of Samar, to decide whether the said barangays shall become a new municipality, to be known as the Municipality of San Jorge, which shall be conducted within a period of sixty days after the approval of said Act;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law and pursuant to Batas Pambansa Blg. 11, do hereby set February 4, 1979, as the date for the holding of the plebiscite in the barangays of the municipality of Gandara, province of Samar, listed below, to decide whether the said barangays shall be constituted into a new municipality to be known as San Jorge:

San Jorge, Sinit-an, Guadalupe, Hernandez, Bungliw, Janipon, Quezon, New San Isidro, Cantaguio, Ranera, Tomogbong, Rosalim, Aurora, Canyake, Sapinit, Bulao, Buenavista, Himay, Blanca Aurora, Calundan, Lincoro, Lapaz, Erenas, Mobo-ob, Cag-toto-og, Matalud, Libertad, Gayondato and Pohagan.1aшphi1

The Commission on Elections shall promulgate the rules and regulations necessary to implement this Proclamation.
