DECLARING DECEMBER THIRTEEN OF EVERY YEAR AS MAGALANG FOUNDATION DAY AND WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 13, 1978 AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN MAGALANG, PAMPANGA

WHEREAS, the town of Magalang, Pampanga was founded on December 13, 1863;

WHEREAS, the 115th anniversary of its foundation is an auspicious occasion for the Municipality of Magalang to rededicate itself to the further strengthening of democratic institutions and to greater efforts towards the town’s socio-economic development and the general well-being of all its people;

WHEREAS, the citizens of the municipality desire to participate actively in their 115th Anniversary celebration, the theme of which is “Countryside Development”.1aшphi1

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President and Prime Minister of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law and upon the recommendation of the Sangguniang Bayan, Magalang, Pampanga embodied in the Resolution adopted September 10, 1978 do hereby declare December Thirteen of every year as Magalang Foundation Day and Wednesday, December 13, 1978 as a special public holiday in Magalang, Pampanga.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 23rd day of November, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-eight.
