DECLARING THE THIRD WEEK OF NOVEMBER EVERY YEAR AS FINANCIAL EXECUTIVES WEEK

WHEREAS, financial executives, by reason of their position and interest in the continuing development of financial management as well as in the promotion of efficiency in government operations and in business enterprises in the Philippines, have contributed immensely to the progress of the national economy; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable that the important role played by financial executives in contributing toward progress in private business, in education, in government, and in the national economy, be brought to the attention of the Filipino people;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby declare the period November 12-18, 1978, and the third week of November every year hereafter, as FINANCIAL EXECUTIVES WEEK under the auspices of the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX), the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines Research and Development Foundation, Inc. and the Financial Management Executives in Government, Inc.
