DECLARING TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 1978, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN BADOC, ILOCOS NORTE

WHEREAS, the 121st birth anniversary of the late Juan Luna y Novicio, patriot and first Filipino internationally renowned painter, falls on October 24, 1978;

WHEREAS, his works of art served to introduce Filipino culture to other people of the world; and

WHEREAS, the people of Badoc, Ilocos Norte, his birthplace, should be afforded full opportunity to commemorate his natal day with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, October 24, 1978, as a special public holiday in Badoc, Ilocos Norte.1aшphi1
