DECLARING WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 25, 1978 AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN DINGRAS, ILOCOS NORTE, KNOWN AS “LIEUTENANT EDGAR FOZ DAY”

WHEREAS, Lt. Edgar Foz, a young and brave soldier of Dingras, Ilocos Norte, gave his life in line of duty for his country and people; and

WHEREAS, his heroic deeds in the fight against lawless elements of society are worthy of emulation by the nation’s youth and it is but fitting and proper to focus public attention on his exemplary life on the occasion of his birth anniversary on October 25, 1978;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Wednesday, October 25, 1978, as a special public holiday in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, known as “Lieutenant Edgar Foz Day.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
