AUTHORIZING THE KAWAL AWARD FOUNDATION TO CONDUCT A FUND CAMPAIGN FOR THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 1, 1978 TO JUNE 30, 1979

WHEREAS, the Kawal Award Foundation aims to give public recognition of the vital role played by the soldiers in nation building and help soldiers alleviate the high cost of education through scholarship grants to deserving members of the family of the awardees; and

WHEREAS, these laudable objectives deserve financial and moral support of the government and private sectors;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Kawal Award Foundation to conduct a nationwide fund campaign during the period from November 1, 1978 to June 30, 1979.

I urge all citizens and residents of this country to give generously to the Foundation to enable it to attain its laudable objectives.1aшphi1
