DECLARING THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12, 1978, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN ZAMBOANGA CITY

WHEREAS, the celebration of the traditional feast of Our Lady of Pilar, the patron saint of Zamboanga City, falls on Thursday, October 12, 1978;

WHEREAS, both Christians and Muslims alike in Zamboanga City celebrate this day with fitting religious ceremonies;

WHEREAS, in order to give opportunity to the people thereat to celebrate properly the feast of Our Lady of Pilar, it is but proper that the same be declared as a special public holiday in said city;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, October 12, 1978, as a special public holiday in Zamboanga City.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
