DECLARING SEPTEMBER ELEVEN OF EVERY YEAR AS LUBAO FOUNDATION DAY AND MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 1978 AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN LUBAO, PAMPANGA.

WHEREAS, the local annals of Lubao, Pampanga fix the formal founding of the town by Martin de Goiti and his men around September 11, 1571;

WHEREAS, in the 407 years of its history, the town of Lubao has consistently given its human and natural resources in the development of a free, strong and enduring Filipino nation;

WHEREAS, commemoration of Lubao’s Foundation Day will not only evoke memories of past glorious events but also serve as a rallying point for the continued dedication of all Lubenians to the peace, unity, progress and happiness of our country and people;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President and Prime Minister of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law and upon the recommendation of the Sangguniang Bayan, Lubao, Pampanga embodied in the Resolution adopted July 8, 1978, do hereby declare September Eleven of every year as Lubao Foundation Day and Monday, September 11, 1978 as a special public holiday in Lubao, Pampanga.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
