AUTHORIZING A ONE YEAR NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE FOUNDATION FOR RETIRED FILIPINO MUSICIANS.

WHEREAS, the Department of Education and Culture will sponsor the Grand Festival of Philippine Music that will feature the works of our eminent composer, Dr. Eliseo M. Pajaro, in observance of his 30th anniversary as a professional composer, and the establishment of a Foundation For Retired Filipino Musicians to assist impoverished Filipino career musicians all over the country; and

WHEREAS, the realization of the above projects needs the financial support of the public and private sectors;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorized the holding of a national fund campaign for the period from April 1, 1978 to March 31, 1979, for the holding of the Grand Festival of Philippine Music and the establishment of the Foundation For Retired Filipino Musicians.
