DECLARING MONDAY, AUGUST 21, 1978, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE SUB-PROVINCE OF GUIMARAS

WHEREAS, the twentieth foundation anniversary of the sub-province of Guimaras, province of Iloilo, falls on August 21, 1978;

WHEREAS, the people of Guimaras must be afforded the opportunity to celebrate this historical occasion with fitting rites and ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, August 21, 1978 as a special public holiday in the sub-province of Guimaras, province of Iloilo.
