[ Proclamation No. 1766, August 11, 1978 ]

AUTHORIZING THE METRO MANILA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, INCORPORATED TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN.

WHEREAS, the Metro Manila Community Development Foundation, Inc., a non-stock and non-profit corporation, is engaged in a broad range of projects, programs and activities to enhance community living in Metropolitan Manila;

WHEREAS, one of the initial projects of the Foundation is to alleviate the plight of Barangay Captains of Metro Manila as a fitting recognition to their untiring efforts, dedication and devotion to duty and the community; and

WHEREAS, the foundation needs the moral and financial support of the public and private sectors to realize its laudable objectives;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Metro Manila Community Development Foundation, Inc. to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one year from the issuance of this proclamation.
