[ Proclamation No. 1753, June 29, 1978 ]

DECLARING MONDAY, JULY 3, 1978, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY.

WHEREAS, July 4th of every year is a legal holiday known as Philippine Republic Day under Republic Act No. 4166; and

WHEREAS, Monday, July 3, 1978 falls between two legal holidays (Sunday, July 2, and Tuesday, July 4,1978) which may be declared a special public holiday without prejudice to the public service;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, July 3, 1978, as a special public holiday.1aшphi1
