DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 10 TO 16, 1978, AS NATIONAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WEEK AND CREATING A COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF ITS OBSERVANCE.
In order to give impetus to the role of science in the development of the country, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, Prime Minister of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from July 10 to 16, 1978, as National Science and Technology Week to be observed throughout the country in schools, colleges and universities, with appropriate ceremonies, under the sponsorship of the National Science Development Board.
The following are hereby designated members of a committee to take charge of the national observance of the Week with particular emphasis on “Science and Appropriate Technology in Countryside Development”:
